Tito + Chanel’s Surprise FDNY Engagement! <3

BroInLaw is getting HITCHED and I couldnt be happier for them!

I was the first to find out and he told me to bring the camera along and try not to spill the beans. The idea was for Chanel to play a victim stranded in a building window, while Tito roped down from the roof and rescued her, little did she know the drill, wasnt a drill at all and the whole FDNY was in on it, seriously an awesome way to pop the question!

Somehow we pulled it off and chanel had no clue, worked a few angles and got some pretty neat shots, hope they like them and you guys do too

Congrats to you guys!! Love Ya!

Congratulations to Tito + Chanel!!! Amazing photos you got Elkin, you must have been running through the whole building to capture them. I love how you capture Chanel’s expression, is just priceless.

Engagement : Alice + Matt Downtown Montclair, NJ

Hi Guys!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Alice and Matt for their engagement shoot in their hometown of Montclair New Jersey, a beautiful small town with a very hip and trendy vibe, perfect for the shoot. I met Alice and Matt through our wonderful friend Onada from Onada photography. Alice and Matt were full of energy, very photogenic and had some of the best smiles I’ve ever had the chance of photographing, they really made my job THAT much easier plus they were game for everything! We started off at their local park which was huge and offered plenty of opportunities for shots and very true to the Spring season, had a field of beautiful cherry blossoms. We wanted to get some shots in the playground on the swings, but it seemed as though we were gonna have to fight off a bunch of 13 year olds, so we had to abort. We then took off into the downtown area, but not without making a pit stop at the train tracks — you never pass off pictures on train tracks! Downtown Montclair resembled Hoboken/Williamsburg, very colorful, full of nice restaurants and full of life, seriously a place worth the trip from NY.

Thank You Alice and Matt for such an enjoyable shoot, congrats again on your engagement! I can’t wait to see you guys on your wedding day.

Engagement : Alicia + Harry @ Branch Brook Park – Cherry Blossom Festival

Hi World!

Meet Alicia + Harry. We met this sweet couple bright and early on a Sunday morning at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. Alicia & Harry specifically chose this location because of the Cherry Blossom Festival that was taking place there. From the minute we met them, both were very warm and sweet. They were very receptive to Elkin’s “ooh boy” ideas like dance twirls in the middle of a park and tree climbing. Actually, that was more Alicia then Harry –she’s the self professed “tree climber”. How about standing inches, VERY LITTLE inches away from this big lagoon for a quick shot, that could’ve just as quickly put an end to our session AND dry clothing. The session was playful but laid back… if that makes sense. It sort of had this feel to it: lots of talking and laughter, followed by lots of snapping, followed by lots more talking and even more snapping. Before we knew it — close to three hours had passed though our designated shoot time was for half of that!

Amazing sneak-peek to the engagement session. The pictures look so great. What a perfect location–and the ‘ooh boy’ ideas make it all the more special–can’t wait to see the rest! 🙂
