Back with another engagement shoot. Meet Mely and Nando. These guys are great and we love them. The end. Serioulsy, though, these guys are such much fun! We met Mely and Nando around 5:30PM on the most perfect summer day just as the bright sun was starting to simmer down. I believe, it was also the first “official” day of summer. We walked way too much all over this cute park that Elkin and I just discovered and fell in love with. We laughed and talked so much that soon, three hours had elapsed and we found ourselves in Harlem, a neighborhood where Mely and Nando once resided, for some city shots. Even sooner, we found ourselves toasting to life with our newfound friends, over drinks and yummy food.
Seriously, thank you guys for being so awesome! We had the best “work date” ever. We are very excited about your wedding and can’t wait to share in your special day next month! <3
Meet Alicia + Harry. We met this sweet couple bright and early on a Sunday morning at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. Alicia & Harry specifically chose this location because of the Cherry Blossom Festival that was taking place there. From the minute we met them, both were very warm and sweet. They were very receptive to Elkin’s “ooh boy” ideas like dance twirls in the middle of a park and tree climbing. Actually, that was more Alicia then Harry –she’s the self professed “tree climber”. How about standing inches, VERY LITTLE inches away from this big lagoon for a quick shot, that could’ve just as quickly put an end to our session AND dry clothing. The session was playful but laid back… if that makes sense. It sort of had this feel to it: lots of talking and laughter, followed by lots of snapping, followed by lots more talking and even more snapping. Before we knew it — close to three hours had passed though our designated shoot time was for half of that!
