Meet John and Melissa! Together, they are an awesome combination of short, [really] tall, super sweet and friendly, easy-going and too much fun! We met this awesome duo at our crossfit box — Crossfit Gotham: STAND UP! And like everyone there, they were nice enough to make us feel welcomed and at home right away. I am not exactly sure when it happened, but casually around the time they were looking for a photographer for their wedding, Melissa found out that Elkin WAS a wedding photographer – pretty awesome coincidence if I may say so myself! Soon enough, we were discussing wedding day details over passion tea lemonades at Starbucks and even sooner after, it was AUGUST 16TH – their wedding day. I could write a lot about their day, it was all so beautiful and a lot of fun. Seriously, too much fun! This entire bridal party, bride and groom included, just know to party. From the hotel, to the limo, to the reception, music and laughter was present everywhere. As much as I laughed, I wanted to cry! Seriously, lots of choking back tears during the first look and more during their ceremony! Three days ago, they celebrated their two-month anniversary, and we are wishing them all the love, happiness and blessings we wish them then! Thank you both for allowing Elkin and I to be a part of your special day! It will remain in our hearts forever!
Meet Jessie + Chase. Second time’s the charm for this sweet couple and their engagement shoot. Rain literally dampened our first attempt at shooting; so much so that it was well over before it even started! We ended up rescheduling to what seemed like the sunniest day of the summer. Jessie and Chase decided on Liberty State Park as their location of choice. A pretty large park opposite Liberty and Ellis Island home to a huge Marina, a 9/11 Memorial and amazing views of the NYC skyline, amongst others.
Elkin , Jessie and chase set out to explore the park, while Lexie — Jessie and Chases’s fur baby and I– happily chased them around. 🙂 It was a beautiful sumer day spent with a lovely couple and a super sweet and energetic puppy!
This result is definitely what we got when we met B and B on a Sunday afternoon in DUMBO. They specifically chose this location as it is very close to their neighborhood and they –like us — really enjoyed the vibrant, beautiful colors and buzzing vibe this place has to offer. I know I’ve said this time and time again, but we really do end up meeting the sweetest, most fun and down to earth people EVER during our e-shoots and B and B were that and more. They were so pleasant, jovial, and easy to talk to, with seriously one of the most beautiful and contagious smiles we’ve seen to date. Our session started at the Carousel and continued on in the beautiful cobblestone streets of this neighborhood. Somewhere in between riding electric horses and walking, we noticed a food festival, walked in and discovered the BEST Colombian arepas I’ve ever tasted! This is not a fact that I am proud of as I married into a very Colombian family! We continued strolling the streets of DUMBO and snapping; the usual, stroll- talk –laugh- snap- sequence that is now a solid staple of all of our sessions.
B and B are getting married this August in their (and my) beloved Brooklyn. We wish them the best on their special day and a lifetime of happiness and love!
