Ok bare with me on here, its been a while since I took the time to actually blog lol. Anyhow almost 2 years ago, my bro-in-law got hitched in Punta Cana and both Angie and I were part of the bridal party, on this day i got a taste of how awesome it is to actually shoot on the island, the immense stress and pressure that comes with being a photographer, literally seem to vanish behind the beauty of it all, this day I promised myself I will come back and shoot my own wedding on the island.
Fast forward to about a month and here I was once again!…this time i came wielding my cameras and having a blast doing so, with an amazing Bride and a singing groom, yes the man serenaded his bride during the reception!
Julie + Tyrell were referred to me by my sisnlaw whom as I stated earlier had gotten married at The Huracan Cafe in Punta Cana and is where Julie was planning to have her own wedding!. I of course jumped at the opportunity and after speaking with my her, she decided to book us! I couldnt have been any happier, Julie’s personality and mines sort of blended as if we had been friends for a while and knew the day of the wedding couldnt get any better, that was until i met her friends and family..lol. I ended up traveling alone to Punta Cana and surely thought i would be lonely, but the second I landed I met Julie’s uncle Manny, who btw is an incredibly talented bridal designer and who made Julie, not 1 but 2 stunning gowns! we had a 30 minute ride to the Majestic Colonial Resort and we immediately hit it off, all of a sudden I didnt feel all that alone, then I met Julie’s wonderful mom and I realized where Julie gets her charismatic and approachable personality from! the woman who had never met me, rushed me with a hug, kiss and a beer! It was a party from the start and I was treated as more than just a vendor, I was treated as a friend of the family. Thank you Julie + Tyrell, thanks to your mothers, family and friends for trusting me as your photographer and hope you guys enjoy these photos.
To finish it off THANK YOU Anna who I met on my broinlaws wedding 2 years ago as the hair/makeup and who also did Julie’s…Ive worked with many vendors in my years as a photographer, this woman left a huge impression on me and i highly recommend her to anyone and a huge THANK YOU to Nati who made Julie’s dream a reality and planned everything with her from flowers, chairs, cake, decor, etc every little detail that made this such a beautiful wedding and made my job a piece of cake with how organized and pretty everything was.

Fun looking couple!!! Beautiful photos
Hey Elkin,
I’ve been following your work since you started posting pictures in the Canon photography forum a few years back.
I really like the bokeh background that you used for this photobooth.
Do you mind telling me where you got it? Thanks!
We want to Thank Rona + Kivanc for having us along to document their special day! Your wedding was truly beautiful and we enjoyed every bit of it! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
Meet Jessie and Chase, it seems like yesterday we were shooting their engagement pics in Liberty State park, close to their home, cant believe nearly a year went by and it was time to capture their wedding. Their wedding took place in a beautiful restaurant not too far from our home in Westchester, called Harvest on The Hudson. Overseeing the Hudson River and the beautiful Palisades right across, this scenery was the perfect backdrop for the exchange of their vows on a beautiful bright morning. Thank you Jessie and Chase for having us along for the ride and giving me the opportunity to capture such a special milestone in your lives.
thanks again Elkin for your amazing photos! You captured the day better than we could have ever imagined
