Family : Sister act!

Hello Friends!

Early afternoon on Saturday, we had our second session of the day.  At around 3:00PM, Johanna arrived with her two beautiful girls — three year old Kiara, one year old Kaylani and her mom Luz.  This session was filled with energy, laughter, some pleading for Lani to please look at the camera… oh and music — which is not an odd request while photographing children.  I have to say that this music request was a little different than we’re used to.  There were no pleadings for “yummy, yummy in my tummy” by Yo gaba gaba or “we’re going on a trip” by Moose A. Moose.  My usual “YouTube search” did not include any Nick, Jr. members.  Lani wanted Justin Bieber! We may not have been particularly ready for the many, many repeats of Justin’s “baby, baby, baby, ohh”, lol — But she was SO darn cute singing and dancing to the song that made it all better!   She really knew and loved the song!

Big sister Kiara, on the other hand, had no particular demands.  While she was a little shy at first, she quickly loosened up and very easily gave us the shots we didn’t even know we were looking for.  She was such a natural behind the camera.  She seemed happy to just be jumping, doing ballerina twirls, making funny faces, kissing and posing with mami and baby sister.  She was great!  I really love assisting Elkin in these children’s shoots.  Kids are so carefree and happy.  They genuinely seemed content with the fact that they made you smile and these two beautiful little girls sure did – many, many times.  There was a very strong and loving  “girls” bond in this family!  Watching Johanna and her two girls, was like witnessing best friends having a great time.  We loved having this family over! 🙂

Enjoy the pictures!
